A passion for dance podiatry
With over 17 years of experience as a dancer, Tayla developed a passion for dance podiatry. This means that she has a specialised interest in foot and leg injuries, pain and conditions associated with ballet, dance and artistic sports for clients of all ages and experience levels.
Tayla’s interest in dance podiatry was born through suffering a multitude of injuries, corns and ingrowing toenails whilst dancing and competing in sports such as athletics and netball. She saw many doctors but was not referred to a podiatrist until she had suffered for years. It was then that she developed a strong appreciation for all that podiatry could offer.
Tayla is passionate about diversity and communication in healthcare and she recognises that consultations must be carefully tailored to the needs and goals of each of her clients. She avidly recognises that an individual, person-centred approach is essential for comfort, performance and success.
Below are articles written by Tayla covering common problems experienced by ballerinas and dancers.
