About Laura

(Currently on Maternity Leave)

Prior to opening Performance Podiatry Sydney in 2013, Laura spent three years operating in the Sydney CBD as head podiatrist at a large multi-disciplinary practice. This involved working with physiotherapists, osteopaths, chiropractors, acupuncturists, massage therapists and Pilates to achieve the best possible care for her clients. The case load of patients here was largely biomechanical and this was where she fine-tuned her orthotic prescription to suit the needs of the weekend warriors she was treating. It was here that Laura did additional training in dry needling and began to develop an interest in Radial Shockwave Therapy for the treatment of soft tissue injuries such as Plantar Fasciitis.

Laura’s first two extensive hospital placements were at the Royal North Shore Hospital and The Canberra Hospital. It was here that she was introduced to the treatment of feet at high risk of ulceration and amputation, such as those with Diabetes, neuropathy and vascular compromise.

Laura is looking forward to helping you achieve your goals, whether it is pain reduction, optimising performance or making everyday tasks more comfortable and achievable.

Laura’s approach to the management of foot and leg injuries is comprehensive and multi-faceted. She is passionate about using evidence-based approaches to facilitate healing, reduce stress on the body’s tissues and promote more efficient movement patterns.

Laura is a member of the Australian Podiatry Association, Sports Medicine Australia and the Australian Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine. She has a passion for fitness and maintains a healthy lifestyle involving herself in reformer Pilates and snow skiing.
