I took my daughter to Performance Podiatry for her ballet pointe assessment having been there 15 years ago for issues with my feet. What a wonderful experience! The receptionist is a dancer, the podiatrist is an ex dancer and they totally understood how nervous my daughter was and what a big event a pointe assessment is in a girl’s life. The podiatrist explained every step, provided loads of reassurance and talked to my daughter like she was an adult, making her feel grown up and taken seriously. I managed to get an appointment with Harriet Thurlow at Performance Podiarty when visiting Sydney. I was having trouble with my foot - and lots of pain while walking - while away and Harriet made a huge improvement after just one appointment and a treatment strategy of support and compression. She also provided a super generous and helpful referral on to colleagues in Adelaide, who I saw while travelling on there, to keep conservative treatment going. I saw Merridy for a pain in my foot. Merridy quickly diagnosed the issue and worked with me to assess my running form and make subtle changes to my form, and in-sole domes to support healing. I didn’t need to take any time off running, and the bursitis has settled completely. We are now we are focused on strength exercises and form watch to not only support injury prevention but better my running overall.
