I’m so glad I chose Aisling McHugh at Performance Podiatry.

Earlier this year I developed quite significant pain in the forefoot of my right foot. As a nurse, I’m on my feet for 10–12 hours a day, so I was really concerned that the pain was going to get worse and that I may have done some lasting damage.

I spent quite a bit of time researching podiatrists, reading reviews and comparing a few different options before deciding on Aisling. After seeing her twice, I honestly feel I made the right choice.

From the very first appointment, Aisling was incredibly thorough. She took the time to do a detailed biomechanical and gait assessment, look at my feet, lower legs and footwear, and really understand what I was doing day to day. I ask a lot of questions, and she was so patient and generous with her time, explaining everything clearly and making sure I understood what was going on.

She recommended some exercises, made adjustments to my current footwear with inserts, and suggested better shoes for work and the gym. The thing that has amazed me most is that my right foot pain has now completely gone away. I honestly wasn’t sure that was going to happen, and I’m incredibly grateful.

Aisling is knowledgeable, caring, thorough and genuinely takes the time to understand her patients. I’m so impressed with her and would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for an excellent podiatrist. I’m very grateful I found her.

I took my daughter to Performance Podiatry for her ballet pointe assessment having been there 15 years ago for issues with my feet.

What a wonderful experience! The receptionist is a dancer, the podiatrist is an ex dancer and they totally understood how nervous my daughter was and what a big event a pointe assessment is in a girl’s life. The podiatrist explained every step, provided loads of reassurance and talked to my daughter like she was an adult, making her feel grown up and taken seriously.

I managed to get an appointment with Harriet Thurlow at Performance Podiarty when visiting Sydney. I was having trouble with my foot - and lots of pain while walking - while away and Harriet made a huge improvement after just one appointment and a treatment strategy of support and compression. She also provided a super generous and helpful referral on to colleagues in Adelaide, who I saw while travelling on there, to keep conservative treatment going. I saw Merridy for a pain in my foot. Merridy quickly diagnosed the issue and worked with me to assess my running form and make subtle changes to my form, and in-sole domes to support healing. I didn’t need to take any time off running, and the bursitis has settled completely. We are now we are focused on strength exercises and form watch to not only support injury prevention but better my running overall.
